FCC Prison Ministry
The goal of The Prison Ministry is to demonstrate the love of God in our lives to men who at one time, we were just like them.
Under the leadership of David Wehmeyer, our FCC men disciple the men in the Missouri Department of Corrections in Maryville, Missouri. Our main goal is to lead them to Christ and install or repair Christian living skills through God’s Word. Eph 2:10 says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” We need men to seed and water so God can give the increase. David teaches a required “New Man Workshop” to the new men at the prison. The goal at the end of the workshop is that some of these men realize they are in the pig pen and may have to come to their senses. At this point we need help from a few Christian men to help disciple these men after the workshop in Christ. If you are interested in serving with David and Jon Belbeck in this ministry, please contact the church office.
Prison Ministry Key Verses:
“And the master said to the slave, ‘Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled. ‘For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste of my dinner.’” -Luke 14:23-24
But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick. “But go and learn what this means: ‘ I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT SACRIFICE,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” -Matt 9:12-13
